France didn’t have to qualify for the tournament because they are the hosts, but they have looked impressive during the lead-up to this tournament. Earlier this month they faced off against the Dominic Republic and they were able to secure the 7-0 victory. Last Wednesday though they faced off against Japan and they were only able to play to a 1-1 draw which has left some concerned.

There is a quiet confidence surrounding this United States team and they believe they can find some success during the Olympics. The best players for the United States are on the defense and include Walker Zimmerman and Miles Robinson. The defense is going to be important in this game if they want a chance to find success here. Paxten Aaronson will start in the number 10 spot and they are going to need him to have a huge tournament. If they don’t find a way to get some offensive success, this could be a very long game. Gaga Slonina is expected to start in the goal here.

I do think the United States could find some success in this tournament, but this is such a tough matchup for their defense. Franche has so many talented scorers on this team and they are going to get behind the United States defense.
