In this article, we will formulate a Scotland vs Hungary Prediction for this UEFA Euro 2024 match on Sunday, June 23rd at MHPArena. To formulate this prediction, we will examine:
-Scotland’s recent form and recent player performance
-Hungary's recent form and recent play performance
-A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for today’s game between Scotland and Hungary.
Scotland Betting Preview
Scotland hasn’t found a ton of success so far in the tournament and they have picked up only one point. In the first game, Scotland lost to Germany 5-1, and in the last game against Switzerland, they played to a 1-1 draw. Against Scotland, Scott McTominay scored a goal in the 13th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The defense gave up one back in the 26th minute and that led to them picking up only a point. Scotland had 47 percent of the possession and three shots on target. Kieran Tierney suffered a hamstring injury in the midweek game and and now he’s out, which is a big loss for this team. Lawrence Shankland has been on the bench, but he could move into the starting lineup here.
Hungary Betting Preview
Hungary has struggled to start the tournament and they have failed to pick up a point. In the first game they were defeated by Switzerland 3-1 and in the last game against Germany, they were defeated 2-0. Against Germany, Hungary had four shots on target, but only 30 percent of the possession. Loic Nego and Callum Styles are both guys who could end up moving into the starting lineup. Hungary needs the three points here, and I would expect them to try and move the numbers forward here.
Scotland vs Hungary Prediction
These are both teams that are going to push for the three points, and I expect numbers are going to be pushed forward on both sides. Scotland’s defense gave up five goals to Germany so the defense has some holes. Their offense has scored at least one goal in each of the two games and they are going to go over that number. This is game that could finish with five or six goals and it wouldn’t be shocking. Back the over to cash.
