Hakan Calhanoglu is expected to start in a deeper midfield here and he’s going to need to have a better game here. Turkey also needs to get out to a fast start here. If they get out to a fast start here and can score the first goal, they are going to be in good shape to secure a victory here.

It wasn’t the prettiest game in the first game, but Portugal was able to secure the 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic. Portugal gave up a goal in the 62nd minute and they looked to be in trouble. The first goal was an own goal for Portugal and Francisco Conceicao scored in the 92nd minute. Vitinha sure looked in the last game and he’s going to stay in the starting lineup here. Bruno Fernandes is one of the best players on the team and he’s also going to need to have a huge game here. Portugal really needs Ronaldo to score a goal here, and if he does he will become the oldest goalscorer in the European Championship. 

Turkey vs Portugal Prediction

Turkey’s defense was an issue in the first game and it’s going to be much of the same here. Portugal is going to get have more offensive success early in this game, and that is going to be the difference. Turkey’s defense is going to give up at least three goals and this game is going to get out of hand early. I don’t think Turkey’s offense is going to even get on the board here. Back Portugal -1.5.
