It’s a crucial game for AC Milan when they welcome PSG in Round 4 of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at San Siro. The Rossoneri (two points from three matches) are still looking for their first goal in the competition, while the Saints (six points and first place in Group F) hope to leave Italy with at least a point in their pockets. On the same day, Dortmund and Newcastle will also face in this group – check out the betting prediction here! Now, let’s have a look at the AC Milan vs PSG betting preview and prediction.
AC Milan (Form and News)
An encouraging start to the 2023/24 season has quickly gone sour for AC Milan after a winless run of four competitive games that saw them fail to score on three occasions (D1, L3), a run that leaves manager Stefano Pioli under serious pressure. Their UEFA Champions League (UCL) campaign now hangs in the balance, as after failing to find the net in their opening three fixtures (D2, L1), the Rossoneri sit bottom of Group F.
Confidence appears to be at an all-time low ahead of the visit of Paris Saint-Germain, a daunting opponent for Milan after the Italian giants fell to a 3-0 defeat in the French capital. A repeat of that dismal performance could see Pioli’s side cut adrift, yet despite winning just seven of their last 28 games in the competition (D9, L12), Milan can at least take confidence from their very strong home record against French opposition (W8, D3, L2).
Player to watch: Olivier Giroud has seen five of his six strikes this season arrive before half-time. He netted four times and suffered just two defeats across eight personal H2H meetings with PSG (W1, D5).
Pioli cannot count on Ismael Bennacer (knee), Mattia Caldara (ankle), Samuel Chukwueze (injury), Pierre Kalulu (muscle), Marco Pellegrino (leg), and Christian Pulisic (groin). Simon Kjaer (injury), Rade Krunic (muscle), and Marco Sportiello (calf) are questionable.
PSG (Form and News)
PSG’s season has followed an opposite trajectory to their hosts, recovering from a poor start to reassert their grip on domestic matters. A run of five successive victories in all competitions for the first time in 2023 has Luis Enrique’s men feeling good, with the latest win in that sequence a routine 3-0 success over Montpellier on Friday night. It gave the Parisians an extra 24 hours to rest for this clash.
They’ll take all the advantages they can get at the moment given they’ve won just two of their last ten UCL matches on the road (D3, L5), and have beaten Milan just once in five previous meetings (D2, L2). Italy has been a happy destination of late for PSG though, winning four successive meetings with Serie A sides. Their last such defeat came against Palermo way back in 1997 (W4, D6)!
Hot streak: PSG have scored exactly three goals in each of their last five matches.
Player to watch: Brazilian international Marquinhos will be tasked with tying Giroud down. PSG have lost just once this term across Marquinhos’ 12 starts (W8, D3), although that was in their previous UCL away game (4-1 v Newcastle).
Luis Enrique will be without Marco Asensio (foot), Presnel Kimpembe (convalescence), Nuno Mendes (muscle), Keylor Navas (injury), Danilo Pereira (muscle), and Sergio Rico (head).

AC Milan vs PSG Pick
Since a big 4-1 defeat to Newcastle in UCL, PSG connected five victories and scored precisely three goals in each in the process. They conceded only three goals in return and managed to keep the clean sheet against AC Milan two weeks ago, but I don’t think that will be the case on Tuesday.
The Rossoneri are facing elimination. Even though it’s still early to talk about that, let’s face it, the competition in this ‘group of death’ is fierce, and anything but Milan’s win here will practically mean the end of the UCL story for them. They will have enough time to bounce back with a pair of wins in the final two rounds, but considering how they played so far, it will be extremely hard. I am backing the hosts to attack from the start and score at least a goal. PSG don’t have problems with scoring goals, so I expect to see an exciting game with goals on both ends.
Oliver’s Pick Over 2.5 goals & BTTS YES (+100)
