Juventus vs. Brescia 2/16/20 Italian Serie A Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Over 2.5 (-225), Under 2.5 (+175)
Juventus is welcoming Brescia to Allianz Stadium in part of round 24 of Italian Serie A.
Juventus hasn’t been playing well as of late both in Serie A and in Coppa Italia. Juventus has won only 1 of their last 4 games and that was against Fiorentina at the beginning of February. Juventus has conceded at least 1 goal in 5 of their last 6 matches while scoring in every game since September of last year. Thanks to the loss in their last Serie A game against Verona last week, Juventus has lost the top spot in Serie A and is now in second place with 54 points, the same amount as Inter at the top but with worse goal differential. In that match against Verona, Juventus had 54% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 82% of the correct passes. Juventus had the lead when Ronaldo scored in 65th minute, but just 10 minutes later Verona tied the game. Just when we thought Juventus will score a winning goal, Verona has surprised Juventus with a goal in 86th minute and Juventus lost this match 2-1. Juventus has scored 44 goals this season, and 20 of those were scored by Ronaldo who is playing in fantastic form. Higuain and Dybala have each added 5 goals for Juventus this season. Chiellini, Khedira, Demiral, and Costa are all injured, while Bernardeschi should be ready for this game. Once again, this season, Juventus is struggling on the defensive end, same as they did at the beginning of the season, and this slump came at the worse possible time, just before the Champions League. The good news for Juventus is that they will face Lyon in the Champions League, a team from French League 1, a team that is not playing well. I believe this should be an easy matchup for Juventus despite their struggles. As far as the Serie A goes, I think Juventus will not defend their title from last season, and I’m not even sure Juventus will win the second place.
Brescia is one of the worst teams in Serie A and they haven’t won any of their last 8 games. Brescia has conceded at least 1 goal in all of their last 8 games, while they scored at least 1 goal in 6 of those 8 games. Brescia has won only 16 points so far this season and is in 19th place in Serie A standings, in the relegation zone. With only 21 scored goals, Brescia is the second-worst attacking team in Serie A, only Spal is worse. As bad as Brescia’s offense is, their defense is far worse, and they conceded 42 goals in 23 games. Genoa and Lecce are the only worse defensive teams then Brescia in Serie A. In their last Serie A match against Udinese at home, Brescia had only 39% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and low 67% of accurate passes. Brescia was forced to defend for most of this match, which isn’t anything new for Brescia this season. This was a pretty boring game until the 80th minute when we saw two goals, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Mario Balotelli is Brescia’s leading goal scorer with only 5 goals, followed by Torregrossa, and Donnarumma with 4 goals. Torregrossa is the only injured player for Brescia and will not be in the lineup for this match. Brescia is not playing good soccer on either end and I don’t see them getting out of this slump anytime soon. There is still time for Brescia to save the season because the safe zone is only 6 points away, but for a team that has won only 16 points so far, this seems impossible.
I know that Juventus is struggling, but coach Sarri must do everything to get back on the winning track because Juventus will need the good form for the Champions League soon.
