Inter is hosting Atalanta at Giuseppe Meazza in another derby of round 19 of Italian Serie A.

Inter is playing fantastic soccer and is at the top of Serie A with 45 points, 39 scored goals, and only 15 conceded goals in 18 games. Not only Inter is one of the best attacking teams in Serie A, but they are also the best defensive team and I see them winning the title this season. Inter hasn’t lost any of their last 3 games and the players are confident and their morale is high. In their last Serie A match against Napoli away from home last weekend, Inter was great with 44% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 83% of the correct passes. Inter has won this match 1-3 with a goal from Martinez and 2 goals from Lukaku who had a fantastic game. Since Lukaku arrived at Inter last summer from Manchester United he is playing in fantastic goalscoring form and has scored 14 goals for Inter in Serie A so far. Lautaro Martinez has scored 9 goals and is the most wanted player in Europe at the moment. Asamoah and D’Ambrosio are injured which and they will not be in the lineup. Skrinar and Barella are suspended due to the yellow cards. Suspension of Skrinar is potentially a huge blow for Inter and coach Conte because he is probably their best defender, but the good news is that Alexis Sanchez has recovered from his injury and is expected to play. Inter has a lot of good players on their roster and a lot of them are wanted by other teams, but I really hope that Inter doesn’t sell anyone because I’m really enjoying Serie A this season and I hope that Inter wins the title.

Atalanta is the best offensive team in Italy with massive 48 scored goals and it doesn’t look like they will stop scoring. Atalanta is in 5th place in the standings with 34 goals, and the only reason why they are not higher in the standings is their inconsistent defense. Atalanta has won 6 of their last 7 games and has scored 22 goals during that stretch. In their last Serie A match against Parma at home, Atalanta was great, and they had 61% of ball possession, 10 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, and 84% of the correct passes. It was a fantastic game for Atalanta, and they won this game 5-0. Muriel has scored 10 goals in 16 games for Atalanta this season, Ilicic added 9 goals, while Zapata and Gomez each scored 6 goals. There are no injuries in Atalanta’s roster which is great news for coach Gasperini. Atalanta is also playing in the Top 16 in the Champions League and they will play against Valencia, an opponent they can certainly beat. Atalanta is playing fantastic soccer with a lot of passes and plays through their wings which allows them to open the space in the middle of the field for their strikers and offensive midfielders. With the game Atalanta is displaying, they deserve to be in the top four of Serie A, but unfortunately for them the competition in Serie A this season is incredibly tough. Same as Inter, Atalanta has a lot of good players that are wanted by bigger teams, but they have the opportunity to make a historic result in the Champions League this season, and for that reason, I don’t think that Atalanta will sell any of their players.

The last match Inter and Atalanta played against each other was back in April of last year and it ended in a 0-0 draw. This time I expect goals because both teams are playing great, attacking soccer and are two of the best offensive teams in Serie A.
