Arsenal is hosting Manchester United at Emirates Stadium in a derby match of round 21 od the English Premier League.

Arsenal is on a 5-game streak without a win, even after signing Mikel Arteta as the head coach. Arsenal has only 1 win in their last 15 games and is in the biggest result crisis since the 70’. Arsenal has only 24 points in 20 games and is in 12th place in the EPL standings. Offensively, Arsenal is solid with 26 scored goals, but defense is a disaster and it’s making comic mistakes game after game. In their last EPL match a few days ago against Chelsea, Arsenal had 42% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, and low 79% of accurate passes. Arsenal had the lead since the 13th minute and was able to hold that lead until the 83rd minute when those comedic mistakes happened, and Arsenal lost this game 1-2. Aubameyang is Arsenal’s top goalscorer with 13 goals, while Lacazette has 5 goals. Only Tierney and Kolasinac are injured and they will not be in the lineup. I think Arsenal must focus on the Europa League where they have good chances of winning that competition because that might be the only way for Arsenal to get qualified for the Champions League next season. Plain and simple, Arsenal is bad this season and they must endure this campaign until the end and then do a full reconstruction of the team because players like Luiz, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Mustafi, and Sokratis can’t play for my hometown. Sorry Arsenal Fans.

Manchester United has displayed some solid soccer in their last 2 games and has deservedly won those two games. With 6 scored goals and only 1 conceded goal in their last 2 matches, United’s players are filled with confidence to keep this run going for as long as possible. United is in 5th place in the EPL standings with 31 points. In their last EPL game versus Burnley away from home, United had 62% of ball possession, 4 corner kicks, 81% of accurate passes, and 5 shots on goal. First of all, I will give credit when credit is due, United’s defense was excellent in this game and thanks to that United has won this game 0-2. Rashford and Martial are Manchester’s two best players and both are in good goal scoring form. Rashford has scored 12 goals in 20 games, while Martial added 7 goals. Daniel James added 6 assists. Bailly, Fosu-Mensah, and Rojo are injured and will not be in the lineup. Manchester United is also playing in the Europa League where they are one of the main candidates to win that competition, I dare to say the main candidate. Despite their unconvincing game so far this season, United is high in the table, but we are yet to see if United can stay consistent in the second half of the season. Manchester United has won only 3 away games this season and has won only 12 points from 10 games. I was always a big Manchester United fan since I was a kid, but for the last few seasons they haven’t been playing well and none of the coaches had the balls to play open and attacking soccer. I really hope that will change soon because management and fans want titles and trophies.

On one hand, I want to bet on Arsenal here because they are due for a breakout win, on the other hand, United is playing better soccer with more consistent and more stable defense. I don’t think Arsenal can keep the clean sheet, but they can score some goals, and so is United. For that reason, I will pick something on goals here.
