Wolverhampton and Sevilla will face off in the Europa League Quarter-Finals at the MSV-Arena in Germany.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.have only been back up in the Premier League for two years, but they have still found a whole lot of success. The Wolves finished with 59 points which was good enough for seventh place in the standings. In the Wolves last game inside the Europa League against Olympiakos 1-0. That was enough to advance to this round on aggregate.
Wolverhampton at times might not be the most exciting team to watch because of their defensive style, but they have found a lot of success with this style. In the last game of the Premier League season, the Wolves lost to Chelsea 2-0, but before that they had gave up only one goal in the previous three games. In this game the Wolves can’t fall behind because their gameplay isn’t good from behind. Look for the Wolves to push early and then go in a defense-first style.
On the other side of this matchup is Sevilla who looked impressive in their 2-0 victory over Roma in the Round of 16 in the Europa League. Sergio Reguilion opened up the scoring in the 21st minute, and another goal by Youssef En-Nessyri in the 44th minute. Sevilla is a strong team and since the restart, they haven’t lost a game. Over their last four games, Sevilla also haven’t given up a goal. In the last game they gave up only one shot on target.
Sevilla also only had 11 fouls in that game compared to the 21 fouls by Roma. In this game, they can’t get the Wolves easy chances by fouling, or this could be a long game for them.
If you like soccer games that have a focus on defense, this is a game you are going to want to tune into, because that is what will happen in this game. Look for both teams to not put many chances on goal and that is going to lead to the under. The total is set at two goals, but for added value take the under 1.5 goals.
