Sheffield United faces Everton on Monday, July 20th at Bramall Lane for an English Premier League match.
Sheffield United is coming off a 2-0 loss at Leicester City in their last match. That loss snapped a two-game win streak for a Sheffield United club that has been in very solid form as of late. Wins against Tottenham, Wolverhampton, and Chelsea headline recent matches Sheffield United have played. Sheffield United's defense has surprisingly played well (minus their last loss to Leicester City), as Sheffield United was able to shutout Chelsea, Wolverhampton, and only concede one goal to Tottenham. Sheffield United is currently in 8th place in the Premier League standings, one point behind Tottenham for 7th and two points behind Wolves for 6th.
Everton drew to lowly Aston Villa in their last match at home, 1-1. Everton has not been in as sharp of form as we are used to seeing, as the club has only one win in their last five matches. Everton's offense has not been firing on all cylinders, as the club has only scored two goals in their last four matches, all of those matches being losses or draws. Everton will now have to face a Sheffield United team that has scored a good amount of goals recently, despite their 2-0 loss to Leicester City. Everton is currently in 11th place in the Premier League standings, tied with Southampton in points (46).
The last time Everton and Sheffield United met was on September 21st of 2019, in which Sheffield United was victorious on the road by the final score of 2-0.
I like Sheffield United a lot in this match as the team is home, in much stronger form than Everton and still has plus money on the money-line. There is a ton of value on Sheffield United, as any time I can get the stronger team at home (even without fans) with plus money, I am taking it. I expect Sheffield United to score early and take the wind out of Everton's sail. Sheffield United is one of those teams that can score in bunches, and I would not be surprised if that happens in this one.
