Tottenham Hotspur (DWLWD) and Arsenal (DWWWW) will meet on Sunday, July 12th for an English Premier League match. The match is scheduled for an 11:30 AM EST start time and it will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur will have to prepare for "The Derby" without one of its midfielders, as Eric Dier has been banned from Premier League contests for four matches. Tottenham is coming off a 0-0 draw to AFC Bournemouth, a match in which Tottenham expected a win. Tottenham did not deserve a win at all, as even though the club did not play too poorly, Hotspur should have been much sharper against a lowly Bournemouth squad. Tottenham overall has been in shaky form since the break ended, as the club has gotten a few nice results, with a few not so nice mixed in. Tottenham will have to be sharp against this Arsenal team, a team that has won four of its last five matches and is unbeaten in its last five as well.
Arsenal is coming off a 1-1 draw to Leicester City in its last match. Arsenal, as stated before, is playing great football, and a 1-1 draw to a top-four opponent is not too shabby at all. This is also considering that Edward Nketiah was sent off with a red card in the 75th minute for Arsenal in that match. Arsenal had to defend for more than 20 minutes against Leicester City's potent offense with a man down, which is no easy task. Arsenal did allow Jamie Vardy to score the equalizer in the 84th minute, but that was certainly not the worst-case scenario.
The last time Tottenham and Arsenal met was on September 1st of 2019, in which the match resulted in a 2-2 draw in front of the Arsenal supporters.
I like Arsenal in this match, as this team has played far better soccer than Tottenham has as of late. I think Arsenal will find the back of the net rather quickly, and with the way Tottenham has played, it would not surprise me if Arsenal could hold a clean sheet. I will take Arsenal on the three-way money line.
