Liverpool (WWLWD) and Burnley (WDWWL) will meet on Saturday, July 11th for an English Premier League match. The match is scheduled for a 10:00 AM EST start time and it will be played at Anfield.
Liverpool defeated Brighton & Hove Albion by the final score of 3-1 on the road in its last match. As you probably know, Liverpool has already locked up the English Premier League championship, therefore Liverpool is not playing for anything other than records and bragging rights. Liverpool has not let up, as its 4-0 loss to Manchester City forced the team to wake up and try much harder in the matches that followed. At home, Liverpool should once again put its best effort out there, just as it did against Burnley on the road.
Burnley's Nick Pope added to his already impressive resume, as he earned his 14th clean sheet of the season and his 25th career clean sheet in the 69 appearances he has made. Burnley defeated West Ham United on the road by the finale score of 1-0 on the road. Burnley has battled injuries for quite a while now, but that has not hurt them performance-wise. Burnley has won three of its last five matches, only losing one match in that span. Burnley is currently in 9th place in the English Premier League standings, one point behind Arsenal and two points behind Sheffield United.
The last time Liverpool and Burnley met was on August 31st of 2019, in which Liverpool was victorious on the road by the score of 3-0. Liverpool has won the last four meetings between these two teams as well.
Although Burnley getting +1000 odds on the Money Line is intriguing, there is no way I can bet against Liverpool at Anfield, even if the team is not playing for anything. I think the best bet in this match is on the under, as I think Burnley can hold Liverpool to two or less. I do not see Burnley scoring, so I will take the under 3.0 goals at +105 as it holds some solid value as well.
