Bournemouth (LLLLL) and Tottenham Hotspur (WLWDL) will meet on Thursday, July 9th for an English Premier League match. The match is scheduled for a 1:00 PM EST start time and it will be played at Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth has been in very poor form as of late, as the club has lost its last five matches. Bournemouth is also winless in its last eight matches, which is not a recipe for success in this year's Premier League. Bournemouth looks like it will be on its way to relegation, as the team is currently in 19th place in the Premier League standings. Bournemouth is four points away from a safe spot in the table and tied with Aston Villa with 27 points. In its last match, Bournemouth gave Manchester United everything it had. Bournemouth actually scored the game's first goal, only for the red-hot Manchester United offense to storm for five goals in a 5-2 victory. Bournemouth will have no easy task when it takes on a Tottenham that is looking to gain some ground in the Premier League standings.
Tottenham is coming off a 1-0 home victory over Everton in its last match. Everton's Michael Keane scored the own-goal in the loss, as a Tottenham shot that was certainly going wide hit the defender's leg and ricocheted into the net. Tottenham will take the three points for sure, even if the only goal necessary was an ugly one. Tottenham is currently in 8th place in the Premier League standings, two points behind Arsenal for 7th. Tottenham has had some mixed performances since the break ended, as the club has been hard to read in late June and early July.
The last time Bournemouth and Tottenham met was on November 30th of 2019. That match resulted in a 3-2 win for Tottenham on the road. Tottenham has won four of the last five matches against Bournemouth.
I think both teams will get on the scoreboard in this game, as Bournemouth's offense has actually not performed too poorly as of late. I mean, this Bournemouth team scored twice against a Manchester United team that had only allowed four goals in its last fifteen matches, so that is saying something for sure. I think the best bet for this game is on the over, as I see Tottenham winning this match by at least a score of 2-1.
