Tottenham Hotspur (LWDLD) and Everton (WWDLD) will meet on Monday, July 6th for an English Premier League match. This match is scheduled for a 3:00 PM EST start time and it will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham is coming off an embarrassing performance in its last match against Sheffield United. Tottenham was outplayed for 89 minutes of the match, as the team showed some life in the 90th minute to score its only goal of the contest. The final score was 3-1, as Sheffield United defended its home stadium well. There were three different goal scorers for Sheffield United, Sander Berge (31'), Lys Mousset (69'), and Oliver McBurnie (84'). Harry Kane (90') scored the lone goal for Tottenham as a consolation. Tottenham is currently in 9th place in the English Premier League standings, two points behind Sheffield United and one point behind Arsenal.
Everton will have five days off before it plays Tottenham, as its last match was on July 1st against Leicester City at home. Everton came out extremely hot in that match, scoring two goals inside the first 20 minutes of play. The first goal was scored by Richarlison in the 10th minute, while the second goal was via a penalty in the 16th minute by Gylfi Sigurdsson. Everton allowed a goal in the 51st minute to Kelechi Iheanacho, but that was the only goal conceded by Everton. Everton picked up the three points in the victory, as Leicester City's hopes of a top-three finish were made a little more difficult.
The last time Tottenham and Everton played against each other was on November 3rd of 2019. That match resulted in a 1-1 draw in front of the Everton supporters.
Here we have two quite even teams, only one point in between the other in the standings. Tottenham would have certainly loved to have home supporters in the seats for this one, but unfortunately, that will not be the case. I think Everton has been the stronger squad since the break, as they are unbeaten in the three matches they have played, with two of those matches against tough competition. However, Tottenham is not going to perform the way they did against Sheffield United. This Tottenham team is too strong to not bounce-back at home, so I will take Tottenham to win at +105.
