Bologna take on Cagliari in Serie A soccer action from the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Wednesady afternoon.
Bologna comes into this game in 11th place on 37 points with a record of 10 wins, 7 draws and 11 losses following a 2-1 win over Sampdoria last time out. In the win over Sampdoria, the first half was clean with no scoring and no bookings, and most of the second half was clean as well. However, Bologna would take the lead in the 72nd from the penalty spot thanks to Musa Barrow and Riccardo Osrolini would double their lead in the 75th minute. Sampdoria would pull a goal back in the 88th, but that’s as close as they’d get, leaving the win to Bologna. Orsolini leads Bologna in scoring with 8 goals while also leading Bologna with 4 assists this season. Lukasz Skorupski leads Bologna in scoring with 1.48 goals per 90 minutes with 3 clean sheets in 27 league appearances this season.
Cagliari on the other hand, enter this match in 10th on 38 points with back-to-back wins and a record of 10 wins, 8 draws and 10 losses following a 4-2 win over Torino last time out. In the win over Torino, Nahitan Nandez gave Cagliari the lead in the 12th minute and Giovanni Simeone doubled the lead five minutes later. Radja Nainggolan pushed the lead to 3-0 right out of the halftime break, but Torino would strike twice in five minutes just after the hour mark to cut the deficit to 3-2. Joao Pedro would restore the 4-2 lead from the penalty spot just three minutes later and would ride the 4-2 lead to the final whistle, collecting the win and the points that go with it. Joao Pedro leads Cagliari in scoring with 17 goals along with 4 assists while Simeone has 9 goals and Nainggolan has 6 goals and a team-high 6 assists.
I’ve gone back and forth on this one, as Cagliari took the reverse fixture in October by a count of 3-2, but both sides have played fairly well since the restart and are right next to each other in table. Instead of trying to pick a side, I’m going to side with the draw as I see this one sitting all square at full time. I’m also going to place a bit on the correct score of 1-1 as well for sizeable plus odds.
Chris’s Pick Draw +250 / 1-1 Correct Score +575
