Bologna host Juventus in Serie A soccer action from the Stadio Renato Dell’Ara on Monday afternoon.
Bologna come into this match sitting in 10th place with a record of 9 wins, 7 draws and 10 losses on 34 points after a 2-0 loss to Lazio last time out. In the loss to Lazio, Bologna went from tied 0-0 to down 2-0 in a span of three minutes as Lazio scored in the 18th and 21st minutes. Bologna would trail by the same score line in the second half, and had a couple of bad breaks as VAR overturned two Bologna goals, with the first being overturned in the 53rd because of a handball while the 2nd in the 68th minute was overturned because of an offside player in the buildup to the goal. In the end, Bologna would be denied in the win-loss column as well as Lazio sent Bologna back empty-handed. Riccardo Orsolini leads Bologna with 7 goals and 4 assists while Rodrigo Palacio has 6 goals for Bologna this season. Lukasz Skorupski is Bologna’s top goalkeeper, conceding 1.48 goals per 90 minutes with 2 clean sheets in 25 league appearances this season.
Juventus on the other hand, enter this match in the driver’s seat of the Serie A table, sitting tops with 63 points and a record of 20 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses, one point clear of Lazio after a 2-0 win over Inter Milan in their last match. The match was clean in the first half with no goals and no bookings but Juve would break it open in the second half when Aaron Ramsey would give Juventus the lead in the 55th minute and Paulo Dybala would double Juve’s lead 12 minutes later. Inter would put a strong foot forward to try to tie the game, but in the end Juventus would shut things down and hold on for the win and all three points that go along with it. Cristiano Ronaldo leads Juventus in scoring with 21 goals while Dybala has 7 goals and 4 assists and Gonzalo Higuain has 4 assists of his own as well.
This is a decent enough line with Juventus as it is, especially when you consider that not only is Juventus the better team, but they’ve had two Coppa Italia games to shake off the rust while Bologna comes into this match cold. There’s also the elephant in the room that Bologna hasn’t beaten Juventus since 2011 and Juve has held Bologna to one goal or less in every game in that span. I think Juventus wins this one 2-0 or 3-0 so I’ll side with Juventus to win with both teams to score -no for sizeable plus odds as well as Juventus with the under 3.5 goals for decent plus money as well.
