Napoli is hosting Genoa at Stadio San Paolo in round 12 of the Italian Serie A.

Napoli has entered this season with the plans to take down Juventus but after 11 games Napoli is in 7th place in the standings and is massive 11 points behind Juventus. In their last Serie A game against Roma, Napoli was not good despite having 57% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 84% of correct passes. Napoli has lost this match 1-2. After this loss, Napoli's president has ordered a 7-day quarantine for all players which most of them refused and went straight home. Coach Ancelotti has supported players in this decision while the president threatened to fire him and punish all the players that refused. In the Champions League earlier this week Napoli has played against Red Bull Salzburg and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. After this result, the president of the club ordered the quarantine once again, but the players refused again. All of that escalated today when it was announced that Allan will be sold, Mertens and Callejon won't get extensions on their contracts at the end of the season. The fate of Milik, Lozano, Insigne and coach Ancelloti is still unknown. There has been a lot of turbulence in Napoli this week and Napoli's president is known to be a bit crazy. We can definitively say that Napoli won't come close to the top of Serie A this season and that they will be lucky if they got qualified for Champions League next season.

Genoa is a complete disaster this season and is in the 17th place in the standings with only 8 points from 11 games. With 26 conceded goals, Genoa is the worst defensive team in Serie A and it will be extremely hard for them to stay in the Serie A next season. Genoa has won only 1 of their last 10 games and hasn't conceded a goal in only 1 match during that stretch. In their last game against Udinese, Genoa had 62% of ball possession, but only 2 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks, and 86% of correct passes. Genoa was a disaster on the defensive end and has lost this game 1-3 at home. Kouame is the top goalscorer for Genoa with 5 goals while Ghiglione added 4 assists. Sturaro, Criscito, Favilli, and Marchetti are all injured and will no play in this match. Genoa is simply the bad team that doesn't have enough quality or consistency and depth to be any higher in the standings, and if we add all those injuries in the mix, Genoa will struggle for most of the season. I think that Genoa will be competing with Sampdoria, Brescia, Spall, and Lecce to stay in Seria A, but of all those teams I think that Genoa has the smallest chance to stay in Serie A because their defense is a catastrophe and I don't see coach Motta fixing that anytime soon.

As i said, Napoli is in a mess right now but is still a much better team here. It's still unknown which players will be allowed to play for Napoli this week and normally I would side with Napoli no matter what but this kind of problem usually has an effect on players and for that reason, I will side with Genoa for a small stake.
