11/09/19 12:30 pm
Over 2.5 (-188), Under 2.5 (+150)
Eibar is welcoming Real Madrid to Ipurua Municipal Stadium in part of round 13 of Spanish LaLiga.
Eibar has displayed some solid soccer this season and is the 14th place in the standings with 15 points. Offensively Eibar is doing good and has scored 14 goals so far, but defense is something they need to improve soon because they conceded 17 goals in 12 games. Eibar has won their last 2 games in LaLiga including a game against Leganes last weekend. Eibar was a weaker team in that match with 46% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, and 68% of correct passes. Eibar had a really good match and has won 1-2 away from home. Fabian Orellana is the leading goalscorer for Eibar with 4 goals and 4 assists. Roberto Correa is the only injured player in Eibar's roster and will not be in the lineup. Eibar has a solid team and coach Mendilibar is doing a good job in Eibar but they just don't have the depth to be consistent. I believe that Eibar will stay safely outside the relegation zone but I don't think they will climb the standings any higher because Eibar doesn't have enough quality to compete with teams like Athletic Bilbao, Osasuna, and Valladolid.
Real Madrid is doing good and their form is rising, both on the offensive and defensive end. With 3 wins, 1 draw and 0 conceded goals, Real are in 2nd place in LaLiga with 22 points, same as Barcelona at the top. In their last LaLiga match against Betis, Real was the better team and was constantly attacking. Real Madrid had 62% of ball possession, 7 shots on goal, 9 corner kicks, and 87% of correct passes but wasn't able to score a goal and the game ended in a 0-0 draw. Earlier this week Real Madrid was playing against Galatasaray in the Champions League at home and has demolished them 6-0 which is a huge boost for this team. Benzema has scored 7 goals for Real so far while Carvajal added 4 assists. Asensio, Bale, and Nacho are injured and will not be in the roster this weekend. It took a while for coach Zidane to get his players in a good form and to find the winning starting eleven but now Real Madrid is starting to look like a team that won three Champions Leagues in a row. Fast-paced, high possession and precise counter-attacks are Real Madrid's signature soccer and if they can get some consistency in their game, Real Madrid will be much closer to the LaLiga title than any of the last few seasons. In the Champions League, Real Madrid is in the second place of their group behind PSG but I believe they will advance past the group stage and after everything is possible. Real Madrid is playing in good form and they will be hard to stop if they can keep it up.
Eibar has won their last home game against Real Madrid which is their only win against Real Madrid overall. Every game Eibar and Real played has ended with at least 2 goals and given the current offensive form of both teams, I think we will see a few goals here. Eibar is playing good and is playing at home, but Real Madrid is the better team who is just warming up. I will side with Real Madrid.
