Torino is hosting Juventus at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in round 11 of Italian Serie A.
Torino has been a complete disaster so far in Serie A and has won only 3 games, alongside 5 losses and 2 draws. With only 11 points from 10 matches, Torino is in 13th place in the standings with 11 scored goals and 16 conceded goals. Torino hasn't won any of their last 5 games and their defense is leaking all over. In their last match against Lazio, Torino was bad and has had only 47% of ball possession, only 2 shots on goal, 0 corner kicks, and 80% of correct passes. Overall Torino was a disaster in this match but their defense was even worse and Torino lost 4-0. Andrea Belotti is the leading goalscorer for Torino with 5 goals, while Zaza has 2 goals. Kevin Bonifazi is the only injured player for Torino. Walter Mazzarri was signed as a head coach in January of 2018. and has had some good results last season, but this season has been sloppy for Torino and they can't seem to catch a good form. Mazzarri doesn't have a lot of time to fix things because if the management doesn't like his work, he will get fired. Torino has some really good players like Belotti, Verdi, Zaza, and N'Koulou and it's only a matter of time before they start winning again. I don't think Torino will end up in the place that leads to the Champions League or Europa League but they certainly have the team for the top 10 but for that to happen they need to turn things around.
Juventus hasn't lost any of their games since early August but their defense was sloppy for the last few games. Juventus has conceded at least 1 goal in their last 5 games both in Champions League and Serie A. In their last match against Genoa, Juventus was the better team with 53% of ball possession, 11 shots on goal, 10corner kicks, and high 90% of correct passes. Juventus was struggling on the offensive end for the entire match and has won 2-1 in the end by a goal from a very suspicious penalty kick. Ronaldo is Juventus' leading goalscorer with 5 goals, and Pjanic added 3 goals. Chiellini, Pjaca, Perin, and Pjanic are all injured while Rabiot conceded a red card against Genoa and will not be in the lineup. Juventus' main goal this season is to win the Champions League but if they want to be competitive, their defense has to improve and get some consistency. At the moment, Juventus is at the top of Serie A with 26 points with 18 scored goals and 9 conceded goals. In their group in the Champions League Juventus is also in the first place with 7 points and will most likely advance past the group stage. There is plenty of great players in Juventus starting with Ronaldo, Dybala, Pjanic, Ramsey, and young defender De Ligt who is the future of Juventus. Coach Sarri is one of the best coaches in the world, especially when it comes to a knockout games, but here in Juventus he has his work cut out for him because Juventus needs to get more consistent on the defensive end and more efficient in the attacking part if they want to be one of the favorites to win the Champions League.
Match between Torino and Juventus is a derby in Turin and those games are always tense and rough. Torino has failed to score a goal in their last 2 home games against Juventus but I think that changes here because Juventus is a bit sloppy in defense and the trend of them conceding a goal continues.
