Juventus vs. Bologna 10/19/19 Italian Serie A Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction
Over 2.5 (-138), Under 2.5 (+110)
Juventus is hosting Bologna at Allianz Stadium in part of round 8 of Italian Serie A.
Juventus is playing really good both in Serie A and Champions League and hasn't lost any of their last 10 games. With 19 points, 13 scored goals, and 6 conceded goals, Juventus is at the top of Serie A. In their last match against Inter, Juventus had 49% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, and 86% of correct passes. This was a hard and rough game for both teams and to be honest neither one earned a victory, but Juventus was the luckier one and has won 1-2. Juventus' primary goal for this season is to win the Champions League which they are certainly capable of doing because they have a great team with plenty of offensive firepowers and solid defense. Coach Sarri was brought from Chelsea because management believed that he is the right fit for this team and that he will lead the to so much desired Champions League title, Sarri hasn't slipped yet and Juventus is doing good. Ronaldo has scored 3 goals for Juventus while Higuain and Pjanic both have 2 goals. Juventus is a bit short on the defensive end at the moment because Chiellini, De Sciglio, and Danilo are all injured and I think that Juventus will sign another one or two defenders in the winter transfer window. Juventus is the main favorite to win Serie A, but if they want to reach Champions League finals, the offense will need to start producing more goals.
Bologna is in a huge slump at the moment and hasn’t lost any of their last 4 games. With 9 points Bologna is in the 11th place in the standings and has both scored and conceded 9 goals. In their last match against Lazio, Bologna had a good game with 52% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, and 82% of correct passes. With 4 scored goals in the eventful first half of this game and 2 red cards in the second half, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Sansone and Palacio have both scored 2 goals for Bologna and are expected to be in the lineup for this match. Dijks is the only injured player for Bologna. A lot is happening in Bologna and coach Mihajlovic was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year and has undergone treatment, and while doing that he was also leading this team in every match. Bologna has a solid team and some really good players, but all those players are over 30 years old and I don't think they can keep up with the Serie A pace. I do believe that Bologna will stay safely outside the relegation zone, but I don't see the being higher than 13th place at the end of the season.
Bologna hasn't won any of their last 4 matches and hasn't won any of their last 7 games against Juventus. I do think that coach Sarri will be resting some players for Champions League next week but that shouldn't matter and I see Juventus winning this match.
