Bayern is welcoming Hoffenheim in round 7 of German Bundesliga.
Bayern is in fantastic form and is playing great soccer on the offensive end and more importantly, their defense has improved and gained some consistency which is a sign that coach Kovac is doing a good job as a head coach of this club. Bayern is at the top of Bundesliga with 14 points and is yet to lose a game. With 19 scored goals Bayern is one of the best offensive teams in Europe. Lewandowski is the best striker in the world right now and he doesn't look like he is stopping anytime soon. Lewandowski has scored 10 goals in the first 6 Bundesliga games while Kimmich and Muller have 3 assists each. There are no injuries in Bayern's squad and that will for sure put a smile on coach's Kovac face. Since the arrival of Coutinho and Perisic, Bayern has exploded and has scored 23 goals since. In the Champions League, Bayern was dominant against Crvena Zvezda, and earlier this week has demolished Tottenham in London 2-7. At the beginning of the season, I said that Borussia is finally looking like a team that is capable of taking Bayern down but seeing this Bayern in action and the way they are playing, I'm not so sure anymore.
Hoffenheim is a disaster at the moment and has won only 1 game in Bundesliga so far. For the past 3 seasons, Hoffenheim was competitive and had enough quality to be in the top 5, but their former coach Julian Nagglesman left this summer and that is when the troubles started. In their last match against M'gladbach at home, Hoffenheim had 51% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, and 83% of correct passes but their defense was a disaster and Hoffenheim lost this game 0-3. Hoffenheim has scored only 4 goals in 6 games while conceding 10 goals and is one of the worst defensive teams in Bundesliga. Kramaric, Samassekou, and Zuber are all injured and will not be in the lineup for this match. Hoffenheim used to play fun and attractive soccer for the last couple of seasons with a lot of scored goals, but coach Schreuder was a bad choice for this team and if he doesn't turn things around he will get fired. The season has only just begun and there is still time to turn things around, but I just don't think that Hoffenheim has the quality and is capable of doing that. Hoffenheim's goal for this season is to get qualified for Europa League, but I see them being a few spots lower than that, closer to the middle of the Bundesliga standings.
Hoffenheim has won only 2 matches against Bayern and both were back in 2017. Bayern is a much better team in every aspect of the game and is playing fantastic soccer while Hoffenheim is a complete disaster and for that reason I see Bayern dominating and winning here.
