SHOTGUN SUNDAY NFL #1
Green Bay Packers (0-0) at Minnesota Vikings (0-0)

I’d like to take the Vikings here, but there’s a lot working against them here. There won’t be fans in the stands, so that intimidating road environment for the Vikings isn’t there anymore and that plays right into Aaron Rodgers’ hand in leading the Packers’ offense. Green Bay went 6-0 against the division and 8-1 in one-possession games last year, and while you can’t repeat a lot of those numbers, the fact of the matter here is that the Packers fixed the defense that let them down in the NFC title game last year and I’m liking what I’m seeing from the Pack so far. Add in the fact that the Vikings had to completely retool their defense after cutting bait with their top three corners from last year’s squad. I think this is a game that the Packers could and should win outright, but to be safe, I’ll take Green Bay and the points as my premium pick for this game.
