A lot was made of the trade for the Texans that sent DeAndre Hopkins to Arizona for David Johnson, mostly negative. However, I think the Texans are trying to shift to a more possession based offense, especially with a mobile QB like Deshaun Watson leading the charge. Kansas City’s loaded again and Patrick Mahomes is a walking cheat code, but the Chiefs won’t have fans in the stands and won’t have the energy around them from a banner raising as the defending Super Bowl champion, making it hard to think that Kansas City just comes out and blows the doors off of the Texans in this one. I just think that the Texans aren’t as bad off as a lot of critics make it seem, and Houston’s had a few months to stew on the Chiefs rallying to beat the Texans in the playoffs last year in one of the bigger collapses in recent memory. I’ll take a shot with the revenge-minded Texans and the points in this one as I could see it being a 3-6 point game when all is said and done.
