Milwaukee Bucks (47-31) vs Orlando Magic (46-32)

I’m on the Magic here. I know the Magic are a lot more favorable in the home favorite role, but there’s a lot at play why I like Orlando here. Milwaukee just got a massive win over Boston to snap their four-game losing streak, while Orlando got attacked early by Houston and never recovered. The problem for Milwaukee is that Giannis strained his calf in Tuesday’s game against Boston, and if Giannis isn’t seriously hurt, I have to think that potential for a serious injury spooked Milwaukee into resting Giannis here and trying to protect the health of their top guys now that they’ve clinched a playoff spot to avoid anyone else getting hurt. The Magic are still the top cover team in the NBA and have been solid on the road, and a win here could go a long way towards Orlando sneaking in and stealing the 2-seed in the East or maybe even leapfrogging Cleveland into 3 at the very least. Even if everyone was at full strength this just feels like a letdown spot for Milwaukee as it is. Give me Orlando in this one.
