Washington Nationals (23-40) vs Atlanta Braves (35-27)

I get that the Braves’ torrid run can’t last forever, but I think it last for another day here. Spencer Strider’s taken strides (no pun intended) in each of his two starts since a bit of a rough debut, allowing just one run in 9.2 innings. Erick Fedde on the other hand, has been an up and down pitcher all year long, and I’d personally say it’s been more down than up, especially at home where he has a 5.02 ERA this season with 28 walks issued in just over 57 innings of work.
Fedde’s also had career issues with Atlanta, going 0-4 with a 10.80 ERA in 8 appearances, 7 starts, with a 2.9 HR/9 mark as well over that stretch. Fedde also went 0-3 with an ERA of 9.35 against Atlanta last season. None of that is good against an Atlanta team that’s mashed 32 home runs over the course of this 13-game win streak and I think the Braves will be able to tee off on Fedde here and cover the -1.5 run line in the process.
Chris’s Pick Atlanta Braves: -1.5 -108
