I get the reasoning for backing the Angels here, but the thing is that this is a fantastic price on the Blue Jays who have their ace on the bump here in Alek Manoah, boasting a 5-1 record with a 1.62 ERA with just 1.62 walks per 9 innings and 0.54 homers per 9 against this season, which is big against a talented Angels lineup. Chase Silseth goes here for the Angels and while he’s pitched well, he’s still a rookie that I feel is due for regression and it could come against a potent Toronto batting lineup that really found themselves in Thursday’s opener.
