For some odd, strange reason, the Phillies can’t buy a win with Aaron Nola on the mound. Nola’s supposed to be the staff ace, or pitcher 1A depending on who you ask and how they rank Nola and Zack Wheeler, but the Phils are 0-8 in Nola’s last 8 starts and while the issue early on was that the Phils weren’t providing run support, now it’s that they’re giving up too many runs, with Nola allowing four runs in two of his last three starts. Nola’s also just 2-6 with a 4.55 ERA in 10 career starts at Truist Park. Kyle Wright has been pitching very well for the Braves this season and for me, the bottom line is that I trust the Braves a lot more with Wright than I do the Phillies with Nola. Give me the Braves here.
