Cincinnati Reds (17-21) at Pittsburgh Pirates (11-25)

I’m trying to fathom Cincinnati continuing to be favored while still being arguably the most disappointing team in the majors this season, well in the National League at the very least. I mean the Reds are just finding different ways to lose games and are just struggling to put consistent results together right now. Anthony DeSclafani goes for the Reds here and his last start against the Pirates saw him yield 9 runs in two innings of work. DeSclafani’s also allowed 18 runs in 10 innings of work across his last three starts. Pittsburgh isn’t a world beater by any means, but they’re capable of getting the job done here and I think Williams has pitched better than his record would indicate. Give me the Pirates here as my premium pick for this game.
