Florida Gators (8-0) vs Virginia Cavaliers (5-2)

I’m on the Gators here. It’s a big number to lay against Virginia, who does a good job at slowing the game down and limiting possessions. However, maybe Tony Bennett knew what he was doing when he stepped away from the team before the season as Ron Sanchez has had a hard time getting the Cavs to compete against the better teams on their schedule. We’ve seen the Cavaliers as double-digit underdogs twice this season, against NC State and Tennessee and lose those games by an average of 24.5 PPG, scoring just 48.5 PPG in the two. Florida is still a top-25 team in terms of defensive efficiency, and have blown out much tougher than what they’re up against here by taking out teams like Florida State, Wake Forest and Wichita State in blowout fashion. Virginia just doesn’t have the shot makers to hang with Florida here. Give me the Gators.
