This is just a bad spot for Boston College. First, you have BC coming off of one of their biggest wins of the year taking out a ranked Clemson team last time out, but now they have a stylistic nightmare matchup against Syracuse. The Orange and the 2-3 zone take away the things that the Eagles are actually decent at offensively, and that’s doing damage in the post, and it forces you to take a lot of uncomfortable 3s, which is something that BC doesn’t do well at all. They’re 335th in the country in 3-point attempts per game, and the attempts BC takes, they’re not making, sitting 343rd in the country in 3-point shooting percentage. From a head-to-head standpoint, Syracuse has owned BC, winning each of the last nine meetings with an 8-1 ATS mark in that 9-game streak with each win coming by at least 8 points and six of those wins coming by double-digits. I think BC’s in some trouble here. I’ll back Syracuse in this one.
