The Fresno State Bulldogs just are not a team I’m looking to back. They play great defense, but that defense can only get you so far as their offense has been brutal and last I checked, to win a basketball game you have to be able to score more than the other team. Not only that, but on the road in some of their recent games, the defense hasn’t even held up its end, as Fresno State is 0-5 SU/ATS in conference road games this year, losing each by double-digits, with an average margin of defeat of 15.6 PPG, averaging 58 PPG. UNLV hasn’t been as strong as the team that had a double-digit win streak to start the year, but they’ve won three in a row, including a nice win over rival Nevada and a 14-point win at home over Wyoming, scoring 86 in that game. UNLV’s still averaging 77.8 PPG at home, outscoring teams by 10.5 PPG and I just don’t think that anything changes for Fresno State here. Give me the Rebels as my premium pick for this game.
