For two teams that like to hang points on the board and play in their fair share of high scoring games, I think this is going to be a lower scoring game in what might be the bowl game that best describes 2020. Relocations, players missing, all that jazz. Well Houston might be the more name-worthy team, but Houston has played just one game since mid-November and COVID waves in Houston has kept the Cougars off of the field for long periods of time. I just think that rust might hinder the Cougars here and while I expect a shootout, I expect the Warriors to be sky high for this game and playing on Christmas is nothing new for the Warriors, while Houston’s minds could be elsewhere. Hawaii’s also gotta be pumped to get a bowl invite after finishing 6th in the Mountain West and thinking their season was over but now they get to compete and know what being a bowl champion means for the program. Take the points if you want, but it’s bowl season, I’m taking Hawaii on the money line as my premium pick in this one.
