Army Black Knights (6-2) vs Georgia Southern Eagles (6-2)

Georgia Southern and Army are two teams that primarily run the option offense, so these defenses will be used to practicing how to defend it coming up this week. The problem for Army is that they have had a relatively easy schedule for the most part contributing to their 6-2 record and in the step up spots against teams like Cincinnati and even Tulane, Army fell flat on their faces. Georgia Southern’s 6-2 is against some pretty stiff competition in the Sun Belt, and their two losses came against an undefeated Coastal Carolina team that’s the best in the conference this season, and a two-point loss to Louisiana earlier in the year. Georgia Southern is also an option team that passes the ball a lot better than Army does, so it leaves the playbook a lot more wide open for the Eagles and forces the Army defense to be a bit more honest rather than selling out to stop the run. I think we’re getting points with the better team, but we don’t need them. I’ll take Georgia Southern to win this game on the money line as my premium pick for this game.
