Michigan -11.5
The 2nd ranked Michigan Wolverines & 13th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes will square off at Lucas Oil Stadium this Saturday night in the Big Ten Championship Game and I like Michigan to cover this double-digit spread.
Michigan has been solid on both sides of the ball this season, however, the Wolverines have been incredible on the defensive end of the field, holding their opponents to an average of 17.2 ppg on 319.3 total yards per game (196.3 passing yds/g; 123.0 rushing yds/g).
Iowa got off to a great start to their season and have also been led by their defense which is holding opponents to just an average of 17.3 ppg, however, the Hawkeyes have struggle offensively throughout the season and currently are averaging just 299.1 rushing yds/g which ranks 123rd in total offense.
The Wolverines are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall & 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite. The Hawkeyes are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games as an underdog.
Michigan is going to have its hands full in trying to put up points against a tough Iowa defense, however, they have a balanced offensive attack that should have some success and as I just don’t see Iowa putting up more than 10-14 points in this one, I think Michigan does enough to cover this double digit spread. Good Luck!
