Western Michigan / Eastern Michigan – Over 66
The Western Michigan Broncos will travel to Rynearson Stadium to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles this Tuesday night and I’m expecting a lot of points to be scored in this one.
Western Michigan comes into this game averaging 30.7 ppg on 444.5 total yards per game and have been led by balanced offensive attack. RB duo Sean Tyler (137 att, 837 yards, 7 TD) & La’Darius Jefferson (163 att, 680 yards, 10 TD) have been running over opposing defenses all season and that should continue tonight against an Eastern Michigan defense that just allowed Ohio to average 6.3 yds/carry.
Eastern Michigan is averaging 34.0 ppg on 392.4 total yards per game and should have plenty of success against a Western Michigan defense that is allowing opponents to average 36.8 ppg over their last 4 games.
Over is 7-1 in the Broncos last 8 Tuesday games and 4-1 in the Broncos last 5 games overall. Over is 5-1-2 in the Eagles last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 4-1 in the Eagles last 5 Tuesday games.
Western Michigan has shown to put up big point totals all season and as Eastern Michigan should have plenty of success against a Broncos defense that allowed an Akron offense, which was averaging about 20 ppg, to put up 40 against them, I think we see another mid-week MAC shootout and that this one goes over the total.
