BYU Cougars -1. Junior quarterback Zach Wilson returns for his junior season after seeing significant time under center as a freshman and sophomore. Would expect to see improvement as Wilson will be aided by an experienced offensive line that returns all five starters. This was an offense last year that produced 444 yards Cougars have good size defensively and touted with a strong linebacker corps with is necessary to defend this triple option by Navy. BYU has had plenty of time to prepare for the Navy offense. The Midshipmen loses a key piece to their offense as quarterback Malcom Perry is out of eligibility and has made an NFL roster with the Miami Dolphins. Perry rushed for half the yardage for Navy last year. Neither of Perry’s backups were impressive in camp. Team also has to replace their left tackle and center. Midshipmen secondary replaces two starters. Navy has had issues lining up against the strong physical teams and BYU fits that criteria. Cougars did post wins last year to Boise St, USC and on the road to Tennessee. Play BYU -1.
