Toronto Blue Jays (4-6) vs New York Yankees (5-5)

I find myself taking the Yankees far more often than I want to, but the books have given the Yanks better pricing than usual, and that is exactly what I see in this spot. Jameson Taillon was a big fish that the Yankees landed in the offseason, and although he had a few bumps in the road in his Yankees' debut, he looked strong overall. Taillon struck out seven batters in 4.2 innings while allowing two earned runs on two solo shots. Hyun Jin Ryu is a solid ace for Toronto, but I do not think his performance is going to be that much better than Taillon's, if better at all. What I see is a tight game light, and if the game gets to where the bullpens matter, the Yankees have the edge completely. Only two relievers in the 10-reliever bullpen for the Yankees have allowed earned runs this season (Nick Nelson and Lucas Luetge). The Yankees have the better lineup (a lineup that is still not even playing at full potential) and the far better back-end of the bullpen. I will take the Yankees full-game here, as even though it is a possibility they are trailing after five innings, I think in the end the Bombers will prevail.
