Ron's Monday College Basketball Bank Shot Best Bet

I think Wake matches up well here. The Demon Deacons have not been a great road team, but it was promising to see them win their last true road game by 29 points in a game where Wake didn't even shoot well from the perimeter. Shot quality wise this Wake Forest defense is underrated and I like the fact that Wake takes care of the defensive glass. You can't give guys like Filipowski more than one shot per trip, and I think Wake does a good job in the defensive rebounding department. Filipowski is one of the best players in the country and while there are some doubts in this Wake defense on the road, it is also promising to know that Andrew Carr and Efton Reid, the two guys who will most likely be responsible in guarding Filipowski, are the two best defenders that Wake has. I like the fact that Wake can match Duke on the perimeter and go shot for shot with it if need be. I also like the fact that Wake's entire starting lineup is 78% and better from the FT line, making the Demon Deacons the 2nd-best free throw-shooting team in the nation. If this game comes down to the wire, you want to have the guys on the charity stripe that you can trust, and Filipowski and Mitchell (the two Duke players with the most FT attempts) are at 65% and 73% respectively (not great). I gave out the under on the Bank Shot Breakdown and I think because we'll see a low-scoring game, these seven points are even more valuable. Give me the points in what should be a great game.
