Take the Panthers. The Panthers certainly didn't live up to expectations last year. But this is a new year and Teddy Bridgewater is now under center for one of the most talented offenses in the league. The problem with the Panthers is their defense. I think they took immense steps in the off season to address that, especially through the draft. All of the Panthers draft picks were used on the defensive side of the ball. New Panthers coach Matt Rhule is of a defensive mindset and I look for the Panthers to be much improved on that side of the ball. Las Vegas has had their issues on the defensive side of the ball as well. They gave up over 26 ppg last season. While Gruden's bunch has some good offensive weapons I don't think they should be laying points on the road. The Panthers will be able to move the ball and put up plenty of points. An improved Panthers defense will get enough stops and a home win is certainly a possibility. We take the points to be safe.
