This number is simply too low for these two offenses. I understand that Gray has pitched better as of late but those three starts came against Colorado, Oakland, and Seattle. And yes, I know he pitched well against the O's earlier this season. Having said that, I really like the way the O's are playing baseball right now. They have scored 5 or more runs in 8 of their last 10 games. I simply don't see Jon Gray being the guy to hold them down twice in one season.
Rodriguez is on the bump for the O's and he is really prone to the home run ball. In his last three starts, he's allowing 3.21 home runs per 9.0 innings. His walks have been a big concern as well as he's allowing 5.89 walks per 9 at home this season. This Texas lineup is extremely good against righties. They are 4th in OPS .775 and 6th in AVG .262. They will strikeout against Rodriguez but they will get some walks and hit one or two long balls as well.
The value lies with the Over in this matchup.
