In this article, we will formulate a Toronto Maple Leafs vs Boston Bruins Prediction for this NHL game on Tuesday, February 25th at the TD Garden. To formulate this prediction, we will look at:

-The Maple Leafs’ recent form and recent player performance

-The Bruins’ recent form and recent player performance

-Recent Betting trends and streaks involving Toronto

-Recent Betting trends and streaks involving Boston

-Recent betting trends in games played between Toronto and Boston

-A summary that ties it all together produces a favorable betting outcome for Today’s Game between the Maple Leafs and Bruins.

Maple Leafs Offense Is on Fire

The Maple Leafs offense is on fire, and they have won two games in a row. Two games ago against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Maple Leafs secured a 6-3 victory; in the last game against the Chicago Blackhawks, it was 5-2. The Maple Leafs scored three goals in the second period to pace them. Nicholas Robertson helped pace Toronto, scoring two goals. Joseph Woll got the start in goal, and he saved 25 of the 27 shots he faced. The last loss came three games ago against the Vancouver Canucks; the offense managed only one goal.

Away from home,  the Maple Leafs have gone 15-9-2 straight up. The Maple Leafs offense has been hot heading into this game, and getting the offense out to a fast start will be key again. The Leafs win 52.91 percent of their faceoffs, the 3rd best in the entire NHL. Mitch Marner has scored 16 goals and added 55 assists this season. Joseph Woll will probably start in this game; he sits with a 20-11 record and is giving up 2.63 goals per game. The Maple Leafs have won three of the last four games that Woll has played.

Why The Maple Leafs Will Beat the Bruins

  • The Bruins have lost each of their last four night games against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Maple Leafs have won six of their last seven games against Atlantic Division opponents.
  • The Bruins have failed to cover the puck line in each of their last four games as underdogs against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Maple Leafs have covered the puck line in six of their last seven games against Atlantic Division opponents.
  • The Bruins have lost the third period in each of their last four games as home underdogs against opponents on a winning streak.

What an Awful Season for the Bruins

It has been an awful season for Boston; all they know how to do at this point is lose. The Bruins have lost three games in a row against the New York Rangers, Vegas Golden Knights, and Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks are an even worse team than them, and they came to TD Garden and knocked them off in overtime in the last game. Morgan Geekie and Elias Lindholm both scored a goal for the Bruins, but it still wasn’t enough. Jeremy Swayman was in goal and saved 26 of the 29 shots he faced.

The Bruins struggle to score, and they struggle to defend. The only good stat for the Bruins is the 26.10 hits they dish out a game. The bad news for the Bruins is that it hasn’t resulted in many goals being stopped or scored. Charlie McVoy is dealing with an upper-body injury and is out. Swayman is expected to get the start again in goal, and he sits with an 18-18-5 record overall, giving up 2.98 goals per game. He has three shutouts on the deal. Boston’s only real chance in this game is to jump out early. If they fall behind early, this game will be down early.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Boston Bruins Prediction

As an underdog this season, the Bruins have gone 9-16, and it will get even worse here. I don’t trust Jeremy Swayman, especially with the onslaught of shots that are coming from the Toronto Maple Leafs. Over the last two games, the Maple Leafs have scored 11 goals, and they will put on a show again here. Overall, Toronto is averaging 3.15 goals, but with the confidence they have, I expect they will go well over their season average. The Maple Leafs are 6-1 in their last seven games against the Atlantic. The Bruins won’t put up much of a fight here. Back the Maple Leafs on the money line.
