The Sabres have lost five of their last six games and they are currently last in the Atlantic standings with 14 points. Buffalo has scored 2.64 goals per game and they have allowed 3.07 goals against per game, while also going 17.8% on the power play and 91.3% on the penalty kill this season. The projected starting goalie for the Sabres is Alex Lyon, who is 3-4-3 with a 2.81 goals against average and a .915 save percentage this season.

Sabres vs Hurricanes Prediction

Carolina comes into this matchup after winning three of their last four games and their defense has been very good during that span. The Hurricanes are 4-1-0 at home this year, while the Sabres are 0-2-2 on the road. Buffalo has lost five of their last six games and they have scored a total of one goal in their last two. I don’t see Buffalo generating too many chances in this game and with the Sabres struggling on the road, I like Carolina -1.5 here.

David Racey's Pick: Hurricanes -1.5
