Nashville Predators Betting Preview

The Nashville Predators are 16-17-4 this season after they lost to St. Louis by a score of 3-2 in their last game. Nashville tied the game at one in the first and cut the deficit to 3-2 in the third, but couldn’t find the tying goal for the loss. The Predators out shot St. Louis by a total of 32-20, won 37.7% of the face-offs, and went 0-2 on the power play in the game. Nashville got goals from Jost and Svechkov, while Saros stopped 17 out of 20 shots, which was an .850 save percentage.

Prior to that game, Nashville defeated the Wild by a score of 3-2 and the Rangers by a score of 2-1. The Predators have won three of their last four games and they are currently sixth in the Central standings with 36 points. Nashville has scored 2.78 goals per game and they have allowed 3.35 goals against per game, while also going 18.3% on the power play and 82.1% on the penalty kill this season. Ryan O’Reilly has led Nashville with 11 goals and 21 assists, while Filip Forsberg has added 16 goals and 13 assists. The projected starting goalie for Nashville is Juuse Saros, who is 14-12-3 with a 2.92 goals against average and an .898 save percentage this season.

Utah Mammoth Betting Preview

The Utah Mammoth are 18-18-3 this year after they lost to Colorado by a score of 1-0 in their last game. Utah allowed the only goal of the game in the second period, but they did play great defense in the loss. The Mammoth out shot Colorado by a total of 32-26, won 55.2% of the face-offs, and went 0-3 on the power play in the game. Utah was led by Keller and Guenther, who both had five shots on goal, while Vanecek stopped 25 out of 26 shots, which was a .962 save percentage.

Prior to that game, Utah defeated the Jets by a score of 4-3, but lost to the Devils by a score of 2-1 before that. The Mammoth have alternated wins and losses over their last six games and they are currently fourth in the Central standings with 39 points. Nick Schmaltz has led Utah with 12 goals and 20 assists, while Clayton Keller has also added 12 goals and 20 assists. The projected starting goalie for Utah is Karel Vejmelka, who is 16-10-2 with a 2.70 goals against average and an .896 save percentage this year.

Predators vs Mammoth Prediction

Nashville had their winning streak snapped last time out against St. Louis, but they have played pretty well over the last few weeks. The Predators are 6-8-2 on the road this year, while the Mammoth are 9-6-1 at home. Utah has had some trouble stringing wins together recently, but they have done a good job of avoiding back to back losses. I think the Mammoth played very well against Colorado in their last game and I like them to get the win at home here.
