Wild on Tired Legs

The Wild are going to be on tired legs after their game on Saturday at home against the Calgary Flames. Two games ago against the Utah Hockey Club, the Wild didn’t look very good and they ended up losing 4-0. At the end of the first period, they were down 2-0 and they couldn’t get anything going the rest of the game, which ended up leading to the loss. Fillip Gustavson was in goal and he wasn’t good at saving 25 of the 29 shots that he faced. He hasn’t been as good as of late in goal and they need him to be better.

The Wild are averaging 2.88 goals while their defense is giving up 2.83 goals per game. The offense is ranked 20th in the league while the defense is ranked 11th. Opponents are only shooting 9.52 percent against them which is 4th best in the league. Kirill Kaprizov has scored 23 goals and added 27 assists.

Blackhawks Coming off Another Loss

Most of this season for the Blackhawks has been about the losses and they are coming off another one in the last game. They ended up making it all the way to overtime, but they ended up losing 4-3. Louis Crevier and Frank Nazar both scored a goal and added an assist. Two games ago against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Blackhawks forced overtime but they again lost 4-3.

The Blackhawks are averaging 2.61 goals while their defense is giving up 3.44 goals per game. The offense is ranked 31st in the league while the defense is ranked 29th in the league. As a team, they are shooting 10.488 percent which is the 18th-best in the league. Connor Bedard has scored 13 goals and added 29 assists so far this season. Getting out to a fast start here is going to be key.

Minnesota Wild vs Chicago Blackhawks Prediction

Straight up I probably take the Blackhawks, but you have to account for all factors, and one of those factors is tired legs. The Wild had a tough game on Saturday against the Calgary Flames, and they are going to have some troubles here. The Blackhawks are averaging only 2.61 goals per game, but they are going to go higher than that number here. The Wild will have no answer and Chicago will come out on top.
