In this article we will formulate a Maple Leafs vs Golden Knights prediction for this NHL game on Thursday, January 15th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Toronto Maple Leafs Betting Preview

The Toronto Maple Leafs are 23-16-7 this year after they lost to Utah by a score of 6-1 in their last game. Toronto cut the deficit to 4-1 early in the third period, but they allowed the last two goals to seal the loss. The Maple Leafs were out shot by a total of 41-20, won 43.8% of the face-offs, and went 0-3 on the power play in the game. Toronto got their lone goal from Jarnkrok, while Hildeby stopped 35 out of 41 shots, which was an .854 save percentage.

Prior to that game, Toronto defeated the Avalanche by a score of 4-3 and the Canucks by a score of 5-0. The Maple Leafs have won four of their last five games and they are currently sixth in the Atlantic standings with 53 points. Toronto has scored 3.33 goals per game and they have allowed 3.22 goals against per game, while also going 16.5% on the power play and 85.1% on the penalty kill this season. William Nylander has led Toronto with 16 goals and 30 assists, while John Tavares has added 16 goals and 24 assists. The projected starting goalie for Toronto is Joseph Woll, who is 11-4-2 with a 2.54 goals against average and a .920 save percentage this year.

Vegas Golden Knights Betting Preview

The Vegas Golden Knights are 22-11-12 this season after they defeated Los Angeles in overtime by a score of 3-2 in their last game. Vegas led 1-0 and 2-1, but they couldn’t hold either lead, before getting the win just 25 seconds into overtime. The Golden Knights out shot LA by a total of 27-24, won 43.2% of the face-offs, and went 1-2 on the power play in the game. Maple Leafs vs Golden Knights Prediction

Vegas comes into this contest on a five game winning streak, but they will be on a back to back here. The Golden Knights are 10-6-6 at home this year, while the Maple Leafs are 7-11-2 on the road. Toronto has won four of their last five games and they have allowed one goal or fewer in three of those five. The Maple Leafs also just beat Colorado on the road, so they have plenty of momentum coming into this matchup. I think this game could go either way, but I will take Toronto and the plus money with Vegas on a back to back.
