LA Kings Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Kings are 5-2-2 this year after they defeated Utah by a score of 3-2 in their last game. LA got goals from Clarke and Edmundson (2), while Kuemper stopped 24 out of 26 shots in the game.

Prior to that win, the Kings defeated San Jose by a score of 3-2 but did lose to Vegas by a score of 6-1 before that. Los Angeles has scored 3.11 goals per game and they have allowed 3.22 goals against per game, while also going 15.6% on the power play and 74.4% on the penalty kill this season. Anze Kopitar has led LA with three goals, six assists, and nine shots on goal, while Darcy Kuemper is 2-0-2 with a 3.20 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage. The Kings will take on the Golden Knights, Blackhawks, Predators, and Wild after this game.

LA Kings vs San Jose Sharks Prediction

San Jose comes into this game on the second game of a back-to-back, but they should have plenty of momentum after picking up their first win of the season on Monday. The Sharks have been pretty bad to start the season and the offense is nowhere near good enough, but they will try to string two wins together here. Los Angeles has played very well over the last two weeks and their defense has been great. I don’t like Vanecek in the net for San Jose, which is bad news for a very low-scoring team. Take the Kings -1.5 here.

David Racey's Pick: Kings -1.5
