In this article we will formulate a Jets vs Canucks prediction for this NHL game on Tuesday, November 11th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Winnipeg Jets Betting Preview

The Winnipeg Jets are 9-6-0 this season after they lost to Anaheim by a score of 4-1 in their last game. Winnipeg cut the deficit to 2-1 in the second period, but couldn’t find anymore offense in the loss. The Jets out shot Anaheim by a total of 24-21, won 53.6% of the face-offs, and went 0-4 on the power play in the game. Winnipeg got their lone goal from Connor, while Comrie stopped 17 out of 21 shots, which was an .810 save percentage.

Prior to that game, Winnipeg lost to the Sharks by a score of 2-1 and the Kings by a score of 3-0. The Jets have lost three games in a row and they are currently fourth in the Central standings with 18 points. Winnipeg has scored 3.13 goals per game and they have allowed 2.60 goals against per game, while also going 20.0% on the power play and 86.9% on the penalty kill this season. Mark Scheifele has led Winnipeg with nine goals and 12 assists, while Kyle Connor has added nine goals and nine assists. The projected starting goalie for Winnipeg is Connor Hellebuyck, who is 6-5-0 with a 2.30 goals against average and a .922 save percentage this season.

Vancouver Canucks Betting Preview

The Vancouver Canucks are 8-8-1 this year after they lost to Colorado in overtime by a score of 5-4 in their last game. Vancouver trailed 4-3 in the third period, but they tied the game with three minutes left, before losing in overtime. The Canucks out shot Colorado by a total of 33-32, won 59.1% of the face-offs, and went 1-5 on the power play in the game. Vancouver got goals from DeBrusk, Karlsson, O’Connor, and Sherwood, while Lankinen stopped 27 out of 32 shots, which was an .844 save percentage.

Prior to that game, Vancouver defeated the Blue Jackets by a score of 4-3, but lost to the Blackhawks by a score of 5-2 before that. The Canucks have alternated wins and losses over their last nine games and they are currently sixth in the Pacific standings with 17 points. Vancouver has scored 2.82 goals per game and they have allowed 3.41 goals against per game, while also going 18.2% on the power play and 67.9% on the penalty kill this season. Conor Garland has led the Canucks with four goals and eight assists, while Kiefer Sherwood has added 10 goals and one assist. The projected starting goalie for Vancouver is Thatcher Demko, who is 5-4-0 with a 2.57 goals against average and a .912 save percentage this year.

Jets vs Canucks Prediction

Winnipeg comes into this matchup trying to snap their three game losing streak, but they have scored just two total goals in those three losses. The Jets are 4-3-0 on the road this year, while the Canucks are 3-4-1 at home. Vancouver did take Colorado to overtime in their last game, but their defense is allowing nearly 3.50 goals against per game. I would normally fade Vancouver and their poor defense here, but Winnipeg is really struggling right now. Take the Canucks and the small plus money in this one.
