In this article we will formulate a Devils vs Bruins prediction for this NHL game on Tuesday, April 15th at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

New Jersey Devils Betting Preview

The New Jersey Devils are 41-32-7 this year after they lost to the Islanders by a score of 1-0 in their last game. New Jersey allowed a goal right at the end of the second period, which was enough for the loss, as their offense couldn’t find any goals in the game. The Devils outshot the Islanders by a total of 25-22, won 54.8% of the face-offs, and went 0-1 on the power play in the game. New Jersey was led by Meier, who had four shots on goal, while Markstrom stopped 21 out of 22 shots in the game.

Prior to that shutout loss, the Devils lost to the Penguins by a score of 4-2 and the Bruins by a score of 7-2. New Jersey has lost three games in a row and they are currently third in the metro standings with 89 points. The Devils have scored 2.91 goals per game and they have allowed 2.64 goals against per game, while also going 27.4% on the power play and 82.2% on the penalty kill this season. Jesper Bratt has led New Jersey with 21 goals, 67 assists, and 177 shots on goal, while Nico Hischier has added 35 goals, 32 assists, and 187 shots on goal. Jacob Markstrom is 26-16-6 with a 2.50 goals against average and a .900 save percentage this year.

Boston Bruins Betting Preview

The Boston Bruins are 33-39-9 this season after they defeated Pittsburgh by a score of 4-1 in their last game. Boston had their lead cut to 3-1 in the second period, but they added an insurance goal in the third to get the win. The Bruins outshot Pittsburgh by a total of 32-24, won 51% of the face-offs, and went 1-3 on the power play in the game. Boston got goals from Geekie, Lauko, Lindholm, and Lysell, while Korpisalo stopped 23 out of 24 shots in the game.

Prior to that win, the Bruins lost to the Blackhawks by a score of 5-2, but did beat the Devils by a score of 7-2 before that. Boston has alternated wins and losses over their last six games and they are currently last in the Atlantic standings with 75 points. Boston has scored 2.69 goals per game and they have allowed 3.28 goals against per game, while also going 15.4% on the power play and 76.9% on the penalty kill this season. David Pastrnak has led Boston with 42 goals, 62 assists, and 318 shots on goal, while Morgan Geekie has added 32 goals, 24 assists, and 148 shots on goal. Jeremy Swayman is 22-29-6 with a 3.08 goals against average and an .894 save percentage this year.

Devils vs Bruins Prediction

New Jersey comes into this game already locked into a playoff spot, but they have lost three games in a row and are not playing well right now. The Devils are 22-16-2 on the road this year, while the Bruins are 20-14-6 at home. Boston has won three of their last five games, but they haven’t won back to back games in a while. The Bruins did just beat New Jersey by a score of 7-2 on April 8th, but I am going to side with the Devils, as I think they will be focused on gaining some momentum before the postseason.
