Colorado Avalanche Betting Preview

The Colorado Avalanche are 49-29-4 this year after they defeated Anaheim by a score of 4-2 in their last game. Colorado trailed 2-0 in the third period, but they scored four goals in the final ten minutes to escape with the win. The Avalanche outshot Anaheim by a total of 25-21, won 48.9% of the face-offs, and went 1-3 on the power play in the game. Colorado has lost three of their last five games and they finished third in the Central standings with 102 points. Colorado has scored 3.33 goals per game and they have allowed 2.82 goals against per game, while also going 24.8% on the power play and 79.8% on the penalty kill this season. Dallas Stars Betting Preview

The Dallas Stars are 50-26-6 this season after they lost to Nashville by a score of 5-1 in their last game. Dallas led 1-0 just 16 seconds into the game, but they allowed the last five goals for the loss. Dallas got their lone goal from Marchment, while Oettinger stopped 17 out of 22 shots in the loss.

Avalanche vs Stars Prediction

Dallas comes into this game after having the better regular season and they will be at home, but they are a slight underdog for this game. The Stars are 28-10-3 at home this year, while the Avalanche are 23-17-1 on the road. Dallas is dealing with plenty of adversity right now, as they have lost seven games in a row and will be without their best player. On the other side, Colorado is very healthy and they finished the season with plenty of momentum after that big comeback win. I don’t like what I have seen from Dallas over the last two weeks, so give me Colorado to take game one.
