The New York Rangers and Seattle Kraken face off on Saturday in an NHL showdown at Climate Pledge Arena.
Kraken’s Offense Coming Off Huge Game
The Kraken have really struggled to start the season, but they are coming off a victory in the last game. The Kraken’s offense finally broke out scoring seven goals and that was enough for the three goal victory. Oliver Bjorkstrand and Vince Dunn both had big games and they scored a goal and added two assists. In goal for the Kraken was Joey Daacord and he saved 32 of the 36 shots that he faced. Overall this season the Kraken are averaging 2.0 goals while their defense is giving up 3.2 goals per game.
How Do Rangers Bounce Back?
The Rangers sit with a 2-2 record overall and they really struggled in the last game. The Rangers offense only managed one goal against the Nashville Predators and that led to the defeat. They had only 24 shots on goal and in this game they need to try and be more dynamic with the shots. At home there is no reason they should only be having 24 shots a game. The Rangers overall is averaging 2.75 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.75 goals per game. The offense is ranked 19th while the defense is ranked 12th.
Shane’s Free Pick
The Kraken finally have some confidence with the way the offense played in the last game and they will continue that success here. The Rangers offense is averaging only 2.75 goals per game and I don’t see them getting over their season average here. The Kraken will score four or five goals and they are going to pick up their second win of the season. Back the Kraken on the money line to cash here.
