The Tampa Bay Lightning and Ottawa Senators face off on Sunday in an NHL showdown at the Canadien Tire Centre. Both teams played on Saturday also.
Senators Skates Look to Stay Hot
The Senators looked quite impressive in their game on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Senators scored two goals in the first period and they never looked back on the way to the victory. The Senators ended up scoring five goals total. Jakob Chychrun finished with two goals and one assist. Jake Sanderson also scored a goal and an assist. In this game it’s going to need to be the offense that gets out to a fast start.
Lightning Look to Bounce Back
The Lightning really struggled on Saturday with their defense giving up six goals and that led to the two goal defeat. After a strong first period with the offense, the Lightning only scored two runs the rest of the way and that led to the defeat. In the first game the Lightning scored five goals, but the defense still gave up three goals and they need to find a way for the defense to be a whole lot better here. If the defense struggles, this is going to be a very long game.
Shane’s Free pick
There is going to be no shortage of scoring in this game. The Senators offense is coming off a strong game and they are going to have no issue running up the score again here. I do expect the Lightning’s offense is going to be strong here also and that will be the difference as this game is going to go over the total.
